The GT4 RS occupies a very specific place in the Porsche catalogue — it is a track car that Porsche decided to register for the road. Everything about it reflects that decision: the intake ducts routed through the rear quarter windows, the fixed-back bucket seats, the naturally aspirated flat-six that pulls cleanly to its redline with a sound that belongs on a circuit, not a coastal boulevard. And yet that is precisely where it becomes interesting to drive on the Riviera. Nice sits at the foot of three corniche roads, each one a different proposition for a car like this. The Grande Corniche rises above the coast toward La Turbie in a series of wide, fast sweeps with clear sightlines — the kind of surface where the GT4 RS rewards precise inputs and communicates every shift in grip through the steering column. The Moyenne Corniche through Èze is tighter, more technical, better suited to second- and third-gear work where the mid-engine balance matters most. These are not long drives — twelve to twenty kilometres of concentrated road — but they are exactly the type of terrain this car was shaped for. For clients heading east toward Monaco or west toward Antibes, handover logistics are straightforward. A practical note: the GT4 RS is a two-seat coupé with limited luggage space and a firm ride calibrated for fast driving, not airport transfers. It is not the car you choose for comfort or convenience. It is the car you choose because you want to feel the road surface through the chassis, hear a flat-six at full voice through a mountain tunnel above Èze, and return it knowing you drove something genuinely rare.
